Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson suffered a noncontact knee injury during Sunday’s season finale against the Chicago Bears at Lambeau Field. The injury occurred in the second quarter with the Packers trailing 14-3. Watson, running a route, tumbled to the ground clutching his right knee and needed assistance to leave the field.

After entering the blue medical tent, Watson was later carted to the locker room with his head in his hands. According to the FOX broadcast, Watson’s status was initially listed as questionable to return, though concerns remain high given the visible pain and his history of knee issues. This injury comes just after Watson missed last week’s game against the Minnesota Vikings due to a bone bruise on his left knee sustained on December 23 against the New Orleans Saints.

Packers head coach Matt LaFleur had previously emphasized caution with Watson’s return, stating the team planned to be “careful and smart.” Despite this, Watson entered the game with no snap count restrictions. His potential absence for the NFC Wild Card Round next weekend could leave the Packers without one of their key offensive weapons.

Adding to the Packers' woes, quarterback Jordan Love exited on the same drive as Watson with an elbow injury. Love was also listed as questionable to return, further complicating Green Bay's playoff preparations.

The Packers face an uphill battle heading into the postseason, with two pivotal players potentially sidelined. Watson’s speed and playmaking ability have been crucial to the Packers’ offense, and his absence could have significant implications for their playoff performance.
